Aqua Splendor
Hello, I bought a bag of caribsea black sand Hawaiian for my nano project and I wanted to show you what it look like, I haven't seen anyone making a comparison like this so I hope this will give you an idea. I'm currently waiting for a ICP test and once I receive it I will publish the results with you 🙂 2 Quote Link to comment
Aqua Splendor
Alright I just receive some news about this: #1 The bag I bought was mislabeled and it was the Info Pacific Sand that is discontinued #2 I receive my ICP test and ... I don't feel comfortable putting SPS/LPS in my tank with some of those concentration, some of them are fine and can get depleted with algae and other but stuff like nickel, manganese (super high), Silicon, worry me a lot If you have feedback on this let me know. Small stuff but: - My salinity is set at 20ppt for cycling, disregards major element section - Tropic Marin Reef Pro salt - Seachem Matrix for bio media - Keep in mind this is a mix of the "black Hawaiian" (Info Pacific) and Eco-Complete sand from Caribsea 1 Quote Link to comment
Hexadron
I can't believe you separated the Hawaiian black sand! I really enjoy your videos and their great production value 🙂 1 Quote Link to comment

I try to reach Caribsea 3 time but they don't answer unfortunately 😞 1 Quote Link to comment
