smoothette
set up a 13.5 fluval and i cant seem to get the filtration right, or the water level in the sump... i add water to the sump with it running and the display rises the skimmer plate makes the display rise, i know its not flowing properly thru the sponge either so could use some advice please. 1. where should the water level be when the pump is on. 2. where should the display level water line be? 3, how do i add water without raising the display as i said i add water to the back with the pump on and display rises, my display is half way up the honeycomb and the sump when on (which its always on i have clown fishes) is only about 2 inches of water above the pump, and water level is like that in all 3 chambers, so i know its not filtering properly. 4. I have tried moving sponge to intake spot and pump runs dry what am i missing? please help. Quote Link to comment

ninjamyst
Water level is completely up to you. As long as water is not overflowing, you are fine. 2 Quote Link to comment
