Reducing hammer coral aggression?

Hello all,

I've had a purple/ green hammer coral for about a year now (mixed reef, Red sea reefer 170) which has never been overly happy until about one month ago when i moved its position (actually away from other LPS in the tank). Since the move, the coral appears much happier with great polyp extension.

It is, however 'budding off' little parts of the polyps (long tentacles, I presume stingers) which float around the tank and inevitably land on other corals (Monti cap twice and Leptastrea four times!) causing tissue damage. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to calm it down- the Leptast can't take many more of these attacks!

Many thanks.
