Sexy Shrimp Birth

Just started to stock my new aquarium with CUC and yesterday bought 2 sexy shrimp and Halloween hermit crab. 
The female has just “given birth” (sounds better than released her larvae) to about 100 or so offspring. 
Not bad for day 2 and guessing that’s not very common?

Sexy shrimp breeding in aquaria is relatively uncommon, yes. In your case, it just means she was happy in the tank she came from, and already had babies. If she produces more babies, that'll tell you that your aquarium is good for sexy shrimp.

 

They won't survive without extremely specialized care, but will, at least, make good snacks for everything that can eat them.
