LoveMyTank
I have a blasto that popped off the stony stem. I’ve kept it alive and happy in a glass within my tank. It doesn’t survive outside the glass becuz it just floats around and will end up somewhere behind my rocks. Suggestions of how to get it to attach to something? Quote Link to comment
Tired
Sounds like polyp bailout. Generally the polyp dies after awhile, seemingly unable to reattach. It's usually in response to extreme stress. What are your parameters and lighting like? Quote Link to comment
LoveMyTank
So it will never re-attach to anything? Quote Link to comment
Tired
Very likely it won't. Theoretically, polyp bailout is meant to give the polyp a chance to survive and reattach elsewhere, but it hasn't been recorded to happen in aquaria, as far as I could find in my research awhile ago. You should focus on why it came loose in the first place. Quote Link to comment
