baronen
This brown algae sort of appears like Cyano. I have some Cyano in this rock as well but it’s in a very small crevice and doesn’t grow. Can Cyano be this brown? I also get this slime on the glass that grows back to full strength in about a week this tank has battled (and won?) a Dino battle so every brown spot freaks me out Quote Link to comment
Tired
Could be cyano, sure. How old is the tank, how big is it, and what do you have as cleanup crew? Quote Link to comment
baronen
Tank is about 8 months old. Fluval evo 13.5. 2 trochus, 2 nassarius, 1 turbo, 2 blue legs is the clean up crew. Phosphates tends to run a little high Quote Link to comment
baronen
Anyone got an idea for an ID. The algae grows back and costs the glass/ sand and some rocks. It’s an orange brown. When it is scrapped off the glass it forms mats that stay together. It has also appeared in my other tank. UV doesn’t appear to help too much. Quote Link to comment
