Arun
I do have 29 gallon tank cycled. Having yellow watchman goby for a week, he is doing good. Adding a Fire fish and Pistol shrimp/ fire shrimp increase Bio load since it’s a new tank. Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Anything that eats, poops, and peels adds bioload. 2 Quote Link to comment
Tired
Bioload is, loosely, a measure of how much food your animals can eat and how much waste they can produce. Any living animal in your tank increases bioload. Corals have very low metabolisms, so corals have very low bio-load. Mobile invertebrates have slightly faster metabolisms, so they have a higher bio-load. Fish have the fastest metabolisms, so they have the highest bio-load for their size. Shrimp have negligible bio-loads. You could keep many, many shrimp in a 30gal. One pistol or fire shrimp (they're not the same thing) will have a minimal impact on your bio-load. A firefish has a larger impact. 1 Quote Link to comment
