DreC80 Posted May 2, 2020 Share Posted May 2, 2020 Looks like some type of algae. Hopefully GHA and not bryopsis. I would remove it so it doesn't spread in your tank. Remove the coral from your tank and manually pull of as much as you can. You can even use a toothbrush to softly brush the remainder of it off. Once you put the coral bag in the tank put a snail or crab next to it so they can eat any remaining algae. Quote Link to comment
Fnard Posted May 2, 2020 Share Posted May 2, 2020 Doesn't look like GHA. Stalks look too thick and ridged. Bryopsis usually is "feathery", but if its been cut down, it would look similar to this. I'd take the frag out, clean and dip as much as you can and keep in QT for further ops. And whoever/wherever you got that from, look for another supplier. Quote Link to comment
