I cant see paying 40 to 100 dollars for a piece of plastic and mesh when I barely paid more than that for the tank lol. I think I could make one out of wood and fishing line but dont know if it would be safe to paint the wood? Quote Link to comment

Costs about $20 ($25 if you want it in black with plastidip). I plan on wrapping it with a finer mesh if needed later. jservedio Posted May 19, 2020 Share Posted May 19, 2020 Black screen frame, 4 corners, a roll of spline, and clear plastic mesh. You don't have to overpay from BRS or Marine Depot - they are just marking up what you can buy from home depot. The egg crate diffuser works well and you should always have it around for reefing anyway, it's super useful. 1 Quote Link to comment
