sublunary
Found this little guy on the glass. He's about 3 or 4 mm long, and pretty fast. He's clearly an isopod, but not a kind I'm familiar with. Anyone recognize it? He's pretty neat and I hate to kill him without knowing at least a little bit about him. 1 Quote Link to comment
sublunary
I think I've found him! And if so, I was right about him being a he. http://merricnorthey.blogspot.com/2014/03/isopod-morph.html?m=0 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paracerceis_sculpta It looks like they live in sponges, and eat algae. Which is a relief, since I think I saw either a beta male form or female that I failed to catch. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

He's lucky you didn't smash first and ask questions later. And on that note, thank you for posting in the first place! This is a good example thread. 🙂 1 Quote Link to comment

The one thing I wish I could teach new reefers to stop doing is labeling every hitchhiker "good" or "bad". Life is so much more interesting than that. 1 Quote Link to comment
