My frag tank is teaming with copepods, there are thousands on the glass. i can also see the bigger ones swimming off the glass and around in the tank. I did spot this bigger guy among the masses, and it looks weird, like a little jellyfish or something. I was thinking hydroid, but it doesn't look like any hydroid picture I've googled.

its swam away now, its gone into the tank - I didn't see it leave, inbetween downloading the photo off my phone and looking back at the glass its gone. What could it be?

If it was swimming around, it's probably a hydroid jellyfish. Essentially, it budded off a hydroid, and will now land and grow into a new hydroid. Harmless and neat.

FYI, "copepod" is a specific group of small crustaceans. It's not a general term for small things, like "plankton" is.
