Just started a 5 gallon pico reef. Bout 4 months ago

Hello! Atm I have a fluval Evo sea 5 with my own DIY filter. I got a blastomussa frag. Acan Lord frag. Pulsung Xenia frag. GSP frag. Dwarf blue hermit. Marbled nassaurius snail. Turbo snail.

 

My parameters are

Phosphates .25ppm

Nitrates 5ppm-10ppm

Ammonia is 0 (I think) I use API test and it never shows 0

8-10DKH

82°

450-500calcium

If you want to add fish I would add a green clown goby. They only grow to about 2 inches max but they have a very engaging personality. You could also put in a damsel as they are very hardy, but if you get a damsel you can’t add anymore fish.

Coraline comes with time. It can be introduced into the tank with coral frags or even shavings from another tank. 

 

Another really cool fish you could do is a tail spot blenny. They are really cool fish. Lots of personality, swim around, and bonus, they eat algae.
