Catalaphyllia, I have noticed that the green is less pronounced, but I can make out blueish green tips on each of the tentacles. 

 

Hammers, probably need to turn the pumps off to take top downs of those.

Well that was fun, got the majority of the dusty algae out, I couldn't remove the GHA due to the dust storm so will be doing gradual manual removal going forwards.

 

Where is my stuff? Oh its close

 

Also ordered a cheap small HOB to help get that dusty crap out the tank, i think it maybe the silicates and dust from the sand still, arrives sometime next week. Also have some surface scum (even with powerhead acting as fountain) so hopefully that'll sort that out once I mod the filter slightly (raise the drain)

 

Cant wait for the Hammer, and CuC and find out what the bonus frag is, bet its a Zoa

Yep it’s a Monti! Not sure on exact colour or variety yet....... and you sh*#ty picture don’t help!

I reckon it's a superman. Red polyps blue body. Not had reds before so this'll be new to find the white balance again

Chinese Mini HOB arrived and working, need to adjust the height of the surface drain but other then that is good and taking up debris quickly.

Can I ask how deep it is as I’m soooo limited for space and also if it’s quiet?

So far it's quiet, it's about 13cm internally but the pipes are in multiple sections. You do need an adapter though as it comes with a usa style power cable.

Thats a struggle too as only have just over 5cm clearance!

So I'm basting the dust off the rocks and letting the HOB grab as much as possible before it settles back down. Once this is out I can actually start removing the GHA a bit more as I can see what I'm doing. 

That's all my detritus suspended, more or less. Previously you couldn't make out the Cataphyllia in the dust storm. 

 

Yeah that's the dust crap, will run some floss instead of the sponge for a bit of polishing later maybe
