debbeach13
Looks like there is good reason to hope for the corals. I think they might make it. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

I have to say i am surprised with how they look especially since they were damp posted (wet tissue, in bag, well bubble wrapped) and a warm cool pack 2 Quote Link to comment
Proxo
Haha where was that from mate? I'm scared to order coral with the postage delays and heat, might have to sell my snails to france if they arrived cooked. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Reefer off of Reefbase (small UK Forum about 15 active members lol), wanted to clear his frag rack. Tried Damp posting SPS so i only paid for postage (making sure no one out of pocket) 2 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
So came to clean the tank today, I have the same process when cleaning the glass. Gently rinse off the tank side of the scraper in RO water before cleaning the glass. Good thing I checked New scraper needed, also need some carbon so Pet Shop it is, will have a look at the freshwater while I am there. Daylight shots, sorry about dirty glass and diatoms Still my favourite Hermit needs a shell clean 5 Quote Link to comment
Proxo
The amount of times them kind of scrapers has butchered my glass, get yourself a tunze scraper - never had a scratch so far as it's so tight the sand can't creep in! Quote Link to comment

To be fair, if you take it out and pre-rinse each time, no scraper will bugger your glass. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

I don't keep them in the tank, never have well except my Betta he used to like fighting it. They last longer if I clean it after use and store it away when dry then rinse with RO before use 8 hours ago, Proxo said: I'm too lazy for that, the idea is not to get your hands wet 😄 What now? 1 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
So things looking good in the little cube. Pavona looking fluffy Palys starting to straighten out after being squished in the post I did make a boo boo and added some sawblade Caulerpa, seems my CuC (looking at you Hermit) does not approve its all been ripped out overnight 2 Quote Link to comment

But damaged/stressed areas haven't got worse so 🤷♂️ I think I have some GSP arriving today, not entirely ysure the Reefer I'm getting it from is really strange..... And that's coming from me! 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
Yeah no coral, he's not answering his phone or emails either so 🤷♂️ Anyways, the clean up crew are still doing well, I scrape the glass and baste the rocks once a week now just before the weekly waterchange. Mix water the day before, match salinity and temperature then 100% change Apart from shifting the tile completely not too bad a job. Also love seeing microlife in the tank, or evidence of it anyway. Still after some small Cerith for here and the jar. Not seen the Stomatella since I added them but that doesn't surprise me. My bristle worm still hangs out in one of the empty shells, so that's fun 1 Quote Link to comment

Ratvan
So my GSP arrived this morning from my Crazy reefer Friend, damp posted again. I can see Polyp extension already after 30 minutes in the tank, just waiting on the lights to come on (and find some Coral Glue) so i can stick it to the backwall 3 1 Quote Link to comment

Hopefully it will grow like the Briareum I had in the previous tank, that stuff was nuts. Also i am now doing everything left handed which is fun and taking at least three times the time to get done 2 Quote Link to comment
