Zionas
Hi, I want to choose a Basslet or maybe even two for a 30g soft coral reef setup. The 3 basslets I have in mind are: the Royal Gramma, Swissguard / Swales / other Liopoproma species, or a Yellow Assessor. I might opt to keep two different species. They’ll be sharing the tank with a pair of Ocellaris clowns and a Yellow Watchman Goby. Which of the three basslets is the hardiest, longest lived, and least likely to bother any other fish in the tank? Quote Link to comment
Gourami Swami
Royal gramma are pretty chilled out usually. Keeping two species in a 30 is probably pushing it. You want to stock species of fish that are distinct enough from one another that they don't see each other as competition. I would pick your favorite of the basslets and then stick to fish that don't fill the exact same niche/look similar enough to be a problem, personally. Quote Link to comment
