Jar Reef Advice Needed

Hi everyone,

I am finally going to start a reef jar and I need to know if the items I am going to buy are good enough for keeping coral only.  I did a lot of research and I think I may have what I need saved on Amazon but I just want to be sure.  Here are the items:

Lighting:

Air Pump:

Jar:

As I understand it, I also need 1lb of live rock per gallon, correct?

If you can confirm all of this or recommend something better in the same price range, I would appreciate it.  Thanks!

love to see another reef jar going up.  The air pump you listed is rated for 420ml/min or about 6.6gal/hour.  When I started my reef bowl I had a similarly small air pump that was 8gph.  After a bit of growth it was too slow.  Now I run 19gph in My reefbowl and have the double output version for my 2.5g with 47.6 gph.  And I would look into lift pipes.  That light will do great lots of people used that setup in the creative container contest. What’s your plan for a heater?
