Weeniehutjr
So I bought a dusky jawfish yesterday and he is eating a decent amount of food. But he doesn’t want to burrow himself and just sits around most of the day until it’s bedtime. Once it’s bedtime he seems to swim around like he is trying to get out of the tank. So I’m not sure if he’s stressed out or anything. Water Parameters are a solid 1.025. Nitrates and ammonia are good. Should I be worried or should I let him do his thing Quote Link to comment
jambon
Is the jawfish the only fish? Maybe getting a feel for it's new home... good that it is feeding. Quote Link to comment

jambon
I was lucky enough to see a few of these while snorkeling in Cuba.. maybe not the same species but looked like a dusky with a darker head. They were burrowed in a riverbed which ran into a mangrove swamp. The current was strong in and out as the tide changed. The peddles and rocks were quite large and the burrows looked deep. The bigger one was about 5 inches.. pretty cool fish. I think you should have a good bed with larger rubble pieces... Quote Link to comment
