Yellow Watchman Goby and Candy Cane Pistol Shrimp

Hey all,

 

So I know there have been a ton of threads on this in the past. But, I didnt get the exact answer I was looking for. 

 

So I just put in this combo a few days ago. I've located where my pistol went, as I can see tunnel holes poking up in the sand. However, the first day I added, the goby looked lost and was searching for his paired shrimp. Since then , goby is nowhere to be found. Long story long, I know new gobies will go "missing" when they find their shrimp.  I'm assuming that the goby is in the cave the pistol built. However I'm feeding frozen and cant get the goby to come out at feeding time. I'm worried that hes not eating?  Or am I worrying over nothing?  Thanks all!

Don’t worry too much. It will come out when hungry. I used to go weeks without seeing mine.

Awesome! So I'm really into keeping the health and wellbeing of my livestock. I even panic when I see a hermit molt, because it totally looks like a dead crab until you look further lol. I'm just a worrier and should relax on this guy for a bit.

I have the same combo and have had them for 3yrs. They both still go missing for a day or two. If they don't come out when I give the feeding time cue then I just shoot a little bit of whatever frozen I'm feeding that day down the tunnel hole since I spot feed anyway.
