bruinhd
I've been scouring this board and the reef2reef board, trying to understand what everyone is doing with the moonlighting setting. Some people here use it at 60%. Many on reef2reef have it at 5% and for 4 hours following their normal 12 hour photoperiod. Most say it's useless unless you're trying to get fish to spawn. I am not. I have a solitary ocellaris clown. Others have said it might help fish from jumping...but that doesn't make sense since fish can see in the dark... So what say you guys? I will post what I have been doing so far: Quote Link to comment
smirkis
i have mine at 10% the moment my light cycle ends til it starts back up in the morning. only reason tho is i use my tank as a nightlight in the living room to get to my kitchen. the moonlight isn't very visually pleasing and doesn't really do much for my tank otherwise.
