Mkodom1
Here is my new tank! Going to be my first attempt at a reef tank. Started to build my own stand. I am going to wrap the sides and top with plywood and paint in black. (Note: this is not where I am placing this tank. Only in front of the window for this picture!) I did notice some small glass shards in the tank so I'm going to have to water test it soon to make sure it doesn't leak. Not sure where they came from? Anyone else have experience with this tank? It looks like the sponge in the back is glued in. If not it is in there very tight to where it felt like it was going to rip to pull it out. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mkodom1
Found out the glass is from a chip on the black baffle that separates the back sump from the tank. Its chipped on the back right above the overflow slots. It seems like It would not mess with the functionality of the tank at all. Regardless I might try to exchange it at the store I bought it from. ezreefer73
I have the small 7.4 gallon version of this tank in the peninsula set-up. I use it as a small frag tank. It has worked great for me. Quote Link to comment
Gravity
I also bought a smaller version. The sponge is in there really tight and the strainer plug thing also helps hold it in place. Quote Link to comment
