RoastBird
Alright, my zoas showed some umbrella symptoms and long stalks. Here are the facts we can take into consideration 1. Water parameters look great Ph not sure Kh around 8 Cal 440 2. Those zoas grow on a abandoned pipe, inside the pipe, lived a group of amiphpod, and they are large, they climb around zoas during the night. Probably the cause? 3. Lighting. This is the part I'm not sure. It's a fluval 24 inch bluetooth light, max output for blue/green/purple, normally I don't turn on white and red. Tank is 18 inch height, I will say zoa is about 16 inch under the light. All my other corals are happy. Quote Link to comment
Pjanssen
Seems to me they are seeking light-white light. Why don't you turn the white light on? White light is part of the natural spectrum that most corals require to grow. 1 Quote Link to comment
Coastie
Definitely stretching for light. Might want to swap out the fluval for something a little stronger, supplement the light, or move the zoas higher. Quote Link to comment
