First tank order of introducing fish and compatibility

Hi! First Saltwater tank and cycling will be completed soon. 32 Gallon Biocube. I definitely want clown fish as they are hardy but I’m wanting others as well. I’ve done a ton of research and came out more confused than when I started. What are good compatible fish and in what order do I introduce them? I’ve read clownfish first and also clownfish last due to territory defense. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Most say clowns last but I've always added them first.

Compatibility will all depend on individual fish. Liveaquaria.com has a compatability chart which is helpful.

Depends on other stocking ideas. My first fish was a blue/green chromis. Followed by yellow clown goby, diamond goby, and clownfish. Over the last 5 years my clowns are my only "original" fish remaining. Ive introduced other fish but i dont feel there dimiss was due to the clowns. Currently the clowns are with a springi damsel and that trio has been with me over a year now. All fish seem timid at first. But I'd be more inclinded to adding perching fish or shy eaters first so they dont feel challenged come feeding time
