waldoz
Printed parts turned out great 👍 hope they fit. Still have to glue it together though. Will post a final pic hopefully tonight or tomorrow. 3 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
I think if I could have done it as one part would have turned out better. Front side. And back with power cord. Two problems. Glued my fingers and it's 1/8 short on the wall side.🤬 You can't tell and it doesn't matter but I know it's there. LoL overall my son is happy how it turned out.😁 Now you can look at the tank with out getting blinded. 👍 4 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Look what showed up. 👍 early! Everything was packed well, going to install today.😁 4 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Ran about 5 gallons through flushing it. In coming TDS. And out going. 👍 I guess my water was not bad LoL 😂 My water is at 40 psi. Might have to check on my valve and bump up the pressure a little. I will have to put a guage on my house system and see where it is at. 1 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
I think we are ready for our first coral. My son would like a Hammer or something similar that the clown could possibly host. Might be a bit before we find something or head down to CFC. :) The tank I think is too small for any anemone, the only ones we could think of would be a BTA but still might be to soon anyways. The clown seems to be doing very well. He can't really make up his mind between a shrimp or a coral. Do any of you guys have any suggestions? Quote Link to comment
waldoz
New additions! I know Rainbow BTA😬 it's the size of a quarter for now. It was a free along with all this stuff. A local reefer offered it up when I dropped off the old Rodi unit. Some will know him BlueZReef . Great guy 👍 was not expecting anything. If we ever have to do some trimming will pay it forward 😁. And some green star polyps. Frogspawn coral Also got a few marine pure biofilter balls. They are seeding the tank whoop! whoop! Found a Asterina starfish. We did not realize what it can do so will pull that guy out when we see him again. Found some tiny bristle worms. Going to leave those guys in there for now. They will probably starve to death.lol As far as the RBTA when he gets too big will get rid of him or exchange for smaller. 1 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Yeah it's been fun! Thinking might have to make a cover for the power head. Depends on how much the little guys moves around 😂 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Purged this guy last night. We figured we didn't want them to get out of control. He is the only one in the tank, fingers crossed. 😬 Told my son don't rip a leg off but he waited till the light was off an he came out. 1 Quote Link to comment

Matteo
No seriously, I have hundreds in my tank but my coral continues to thrive and multiply. Specifically my zoas. They mostly are always on the glass eating algae. Doing some reading it seems like many have the same story as me. Apparently there are tons of species and impossible to identify by eye. Mine seem to only eat algae and detritus so lucky me I guess. I've had them in past reef tanks too without issues.... Quote Link to comment

If you get enough and they become an issue just get a harlequin and it will take care of them. I see a few in my tank here and there. 1 Quote Link to comment

I am going to leave it up to my son. 🙂 He is worried about having to pick up a harlequin to take care of those guys down the road. I think he worries too much 😛 On 6/5/2020 at 7:50 PM, spectra said: they are not bad really. If you get enough and they become an issue just get a harlequin and it will take care of them. So if anything goes wrong its his fault! HA HA HA! On 6/5/2020 at 8:03 PM, Spencer7 said: Nice scape! Wish the tank was a little wider and rimless. Thanks! @spectra Gave us a killer deal on the rock and I was worried that we could not do a nice scape. It was two helmets and an arch. We broke them up a bit. At that point we were thinking " This is not going to work" My son messed around with it for a couple of hours. I gave up after a few minutes. When I came back in the room I did not like it at first but then we put it in the tank it grew on me pretty fast. It looked tons better when we got the sand in there. The RBTA is prob going to cover that whole thing up. LOL But seriously we will get rid of him sooner than that. He found his spot.😁 3 Quote Link to comment
Matteo
Good luck finding one. Called three lfs and none have one and no one online does either 😞 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
More pics 😍 Frogspawn Love this stuff! BTA still hanging out in it's spot. These are still upset from moving. LOL Need to get a filter for the phone. Some day. 😀 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Figured out a way to get closer 😉 When you're actually looking at it it's almost 3D. At this point staring to get blurry.lol Unfortunately it's the only thing close enough to get some details 🤬 3 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
Look what showed up! My son found them today. I'm sure they where with the Marine Pure balls. They are really hard to get a clear picture and are very tiny. This is the best we could do.😁 Quote Link to comment
waldoz
copepods 😀. This is what I could see but couldn't get it to focus on my phone magnifying glass. LOL 3 1 Quote Link to comment

waldoz
Everything seems to be doing great!😁 BTA moved a little and is opening up a bit. He is still not hosting and wonder if he ever will. Swims by it all the time. LOL The two patches of Green star polyps are all finally opened. It took almost a week or so. My son says he is looking to put some zoas in the tank next. Need to take care of few things first. Hopefully the BTA won't grow to fast, we really like him in the tank. 2 Quote Link to comment

waldoz
I think the light settings we are using are working out great and the colors are good too. Ten min ramp starts at 2:50 and goes off at 9pm. So running 6 hrs and they seem to like it. I got to get over to @spectra s and pick up that flipper glass cleaner. ;) The glass is getting pretty dirty and the turbo snail leaves patches all over. 1 Quote Link to comment

I think I have 2 as I found a few pieces in a bag...…... Give me a heads up when you want to and maybe can frag some zoas……… Quote Link to comment
