Looks great! glad to help out it was just collecting dust in the garage............

If you stick with scape just add the sand around the rock...........better to have it on the glass so nothing shifts........

You two have done a great job with this build. I really like the scape you have constructed and I completely agree with the advice above ^^^^^^^

That really looks great. Two thumbs up. You might want to check that your glass cleaner either magnet or scraper fits between rock and glass.

LoL that is funny, WE don't have one but we have my hand thickness between the glass and rock.  That should be enough I hope and we have not really looked at any.

That is the plan.  Its pretty solid and it does not wiggle at all.

Just found this. Looking great guys. Amazing how much better it looks at your house. Great scape!

Glad you found it again.  Some things do look better inside the house than sitting in a garage doing nothing. 😉   But thanks again! We would still be in a 2 gallon jar still. LOL

that is a pretty sweet aquascape

Pretty much blew my mind but he has been racking his brain on how to use the rocks.  He almost gave up last night but he just kept messing around putting things together.

Been looking at glass cleaners. Looking for something on the lower end but does the job and floats.  Do you guys have any suggestions?  I'm sure you guys have gone through a few of these 😀

mag float is fairly cheap, I just use a old toothbrush(on acrylic).but I use an "algaefree" on glass

Meat counter guy was very nice, no charge.🤪 Just waiting on our sunsun super cheap powerhead .  Could not pass it up for $9 shipped. It's only going to stay at in the mixing bucket.

Scape looks awesome!  I suggest getting a 20+ gallon brute trash can from home Depot to store water in.  It makes water changes a lot less annoying.

Additionally, get a cheap heater for the bucket too.  Salt mixes WAY better with warm water.  You'll need a refractometer too.  I think mine was $14 on eBay?  I took it to my LFS and they ensured it was calibrated.

We got a 35 gallon tote that is holding our water right now and its what we had.  We are on tight budget and could not have gotten this far with out every ones help. 🙂  We have a heater 300W  and a BRS Refractometer.  Yeah my son did a awesome job all by himself!

Got a screaming deal on some new old purple rock!

Broke them up and weighed out at 20lbs.

We messed around with it for few hrs and gave up.   Funny thing is I came back in to my sons room and he had it all laid out and I did not even help him. 🙂 He is owning this scape!

Pretty funny though he was saying dad take a picture quick before we mess it up and can remake it again.  😛

So its in the tank and I told him to sleep on it and see how he feels about it tomorrow.  I don't think he is going to change it and If we are lucky it might get wet tomorrow.

Still need to learn how to make some saltwater. LOL

All for now.

It will look sweet with some sand for sure. 😁 I don't know how many times we have redone it. That golden triangle thing, tried to figure that out and gave up. It all worked out though. 👍

I may have missed it, but do you have plans for stocking?

Well he has done a fair bit of reading and he wants a BTA and some clowns.  He wanted cardinals but yeah tank to small.

That's a clean scape, sir! So many little nooks and crannies and interesting spots... 👍

At first I did not like it but, it grew on me.  Then when we got the sand it, I really like it and so does he.  He did a great job! We are really going to take it slow.
