Added a few inverts, 3 hermits and 3 nassarius snail and a yellow cucumber which did good the first day but seemed irritated the next, tested my water and salinity was at 1.030 i think this was also the issue with the zoas not opening fully as well, I been slowly taking it down checked this morning I was at 1.026 

 

picking up more LR tonight and will try to do what will hopefully be my actual aquascape going for wall of LR this will be a bit hard with the amount of space available but will try to stack the most Rocks I can since this will be my main form of filtration and since I won’t do corals that’s grow up or take up too much space hopefully it will work, will be also doing a 2-3 gallon water changer!

Week 2 and diatoms are taking over!! I love it! Was able to get more rocks in got my salt down to 1.025 after a 3 gallon water change, I would say there’s about 4 gallons of water in total after adding. About 5lb of LR.... lost 2 of the 3 nassarius but everything else is doing good, zoas are starting to open up a bit! I need a RODI unit ASAP it’s getting annoying buying water when I go to my LFS temptations are just too much! 
But here is what I think might be my last aquascape not feeling it 100% but maybe because it’s still brown and empty Lo

Added a few more critters 2 sexy shrimps and a pon pon crab considering adding 1 more sexy and 2 bumble bee shrimp the just look so cool, since I’m going fishless I will add bunch of lil critters that can sort of maintain themselves.

Added a pair of Bumble bee shrimps never seen them in person before but I think will do great in this nano, they are so tiny!! Also added 2 Astrea snails and a tiny emeral crab, people seem to have mixed feelings of emeral crabs in reefs but those lil guys are work horses on most algeas they scrape those rocks clean! Saw a bit of algea starting to pop up hopefully he and the 3 hermits can keep them at bay for now. I must say now that I have a small tank that I can actually see these lil critters Better out of the 3 hermits, a blue leg, a red leg and scarlet...the scarlet is really a work horse he is constantly cleaning the rocks the others just lay back munching on the few pellets I toss in.

Week 4 and pods are taking over!! They actually cleaned up the glass a bit I was cleaning the glass daily but since there’s no rush will leave all the algae on the glass for them to munch on 

about to start a lil DIY on this apex atk since it doesn’t fit on my filter area

it’s been working perfect and a 5g bucket of RODI last about 2-3 weeks this is perfect!! 
 

added a few new pieces hopefully they take off! 

I want to add so many things right now but I been taking it super slow with this build this will be for sure a tank I will keep long term even if I upgrade to a bigger tank once I move just because of the simplicity of 5g
