New rockwall.  Everything is ticked off.

Partly finished t.v/tank stand.  Originally was supposed to be just for 2 tanks, a cube and a long rectangle, surrounded by plants.  The wife wanted to use it for the t.v., so it's doing double duty.  Looks kind of funny with the t.v. off center.

I can't wait to see how this progresses. I love the biotope Idea.

How do you like dealing with kp aquatics? I might order some riccordea  from them.

Thanks.  KP Aquatics has been great ebery time I order.  No issues.  This is the 1st time I haven't gotten something extra thrown in!

The biotope won't happen at this time, the gsp, xenia, and indo zoa are still in there.  Plus the wife loves the frogspawn which she chose.

Tailspot blenny has come!!!

It's amazing how small he is even in a 10 v tank.

I am not cleaning the glass for another week so I don't stress him out.

Had to dig out the factory screen for the tsb.  I am amazed at how it affects ato.  I'm not sure it ran once, and I usually use 1.5g/wk.  Wonder if it affects gas exchange, too.

It also seriously creates shade.  Ill have to get the new AI Prime out sometime.

Finally I changed the Nemo light for the AI Prime hd16.  Wanting to set it to acclimate mode before mounting, I left it on the couch while fiddling with the settings.  The acclimate mode is not where the website says it is, under dashboard.  It's under lighting.  In the meantime, I didn't realise it was running and burned a melted hole in my 1 y/o leather (?) couch arm.  Wife is not happy.  I'm not happy with the blue look.  The nemo light actually had close to what I like, which is what you see snorkling. The red, green, and white will be adjusted up.  No pics of the light mounted yet, have the little one on his nightly grandma and grandpa visit now, and had a massive water leak when my ato tube disconnected during light hookup, which siphoned a bunch of fw on the fake wood floor. It's been real.

Ill also need to lower it, the light spread is much less than the nemo light with the screen.  The back wall is pretty dark.  Also, I need to cut off the back of the AI mounting bracket, it hits the wall and I need to hide wires/tubes from the little one with the furniture against the wall.

Also, the lens is melted.

The wife has the idea of cutting a cupholder into the couch arm that had the ai prime hd hole burned in it.

Here are some random pics of fauna and a full tank shot with the flow turned off for reef foids feeding.  Some of the zoa have closed over the mixture that fell on them.

Here is a yellow sponge that is growing at the top of the rock wall in full light.  Also out of the water during feeding with the pumps off.

The glass hasn't been cleaned since I switched to the ai prime weeks ago, and no visible algae apparent.  The color is bluer than I like, even with red and green at 30 %, so that may be a factor.  Also I put in a handful of "virgin" nerites from reefcleaners at the same time so there is more than one variable.  I like them a lot better than hundreds of baby cerinth snails all over the glass.  They have been disappearing since I added the 3 starfish and medium sized hermit.

Early morning, partly open Fts

The yellow sponge in the front is disintegrating,  all other small sponges which popped up are thriving.

Added "curly" the clown for my boy, he is fascinated by them at the lfs.  Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it.

I still haven't had to clean my tank walls since switching to the AI prime hd16.  Obviously the virgin nerites have been laying eggs all over.  I wonder what the lack of glass algae means about the light.  Still have bryopsis popping up in 2 spots, but not where I hit it with h202 out of the water.  My ai prime settings are as follows:

Never mind, I'm at a park and the app doesnt seem to store it.

Most things seem to have stopped growing in addition to the algae.  Zoas and xenia included.  I changed the landscape to the rock wall around the same time as the light change, so too many variables, but probably it is the light.  Acclimation mode is now up, so I may lower it an inch, then slowly turn it up about 10%.

I had to lower my settings to ~40% on all channels because the PAR was insanely high at like +60%. And I have the light about a foot above the water level.

I should mention that when I got the light out I set it on a couch arm to make sure it worked, and in the time it took to figure out how to change settings it melted the arm and also the lens.  It is super diffused now.

A friend of mine did that with a pillow and her brand new radion. Melted the lense to an unuseable mess and set the pillow slightly on fire it was smouldering.  It only took a few min to happen. Surprisingly the company sent replacement lenses

I've been inside my primes the old style ones and the hds both have easily replaceable lenses maby you can find a replacement. You have what the 16s? Its probly not that diffrent to get onto. You can contact ai and see if you can get a replacement or get a broke one and strip it.

Bunch of life on/in an old shrimp pail in Sarasota Bay.  I am more interested in this than my tank!

There is more life on the handle of that pail that there is in my tank! Amazing find..

Love a rock wall.. I know islands and minimal rock work is on trend. But I do love a bit of rock. How did you construct yours?

Yeah, I like seeing rock walls in a nano.  Not sure about large tanks.  It is what I often see snorkling the Philippines,  but, of course, not snorkling here in FL.

The rock is cut as thin as possible, still keeping the odd appendages,  then superglued to the back, which is not glass.  Pbly some kind of acrylic on the Nuvo 10.
