My theme will be "Growth". Going to add frags and see what they look like in 365 days if I make it. No colonies...no instant reefs....

Just want to see if I can get things to grow and fill in over time...

Exception being things that can't be easily fragged like plate corals and such.

Hoping to take more frequent photos then I usually do to document the growth or maybe lack of...if I fail my own theme!

I never make seem to make it to the end of these but always fun regardless.

Decided to order a Marineland 5g AIO because it's super inexpensive at 60 bucks and has a great lid. Plus I don't see people using them so let's she what she's got to offer!

Are those the portrait tanks? Really nice looking.

Yeah! I looked at all sorts of stuff and nothing could beat it for the price for near plug and play.

Cool! I was thinking about something like this just to see if I could get zoas to grow.

What light will you be using?

I have a spare nanobox but even a tuna ABI would work I bet.

that was one tank on the list myself, not that i really need another tank....but the new house will have a fish room so perfect place for such projects.

Good luck man, I like my portrait, great size/shape, and reasonable amount of space in the back for things. The filtration setup is unremarkable stock but can be easily enough improved upon 🙂

I like the salt lamp have a few myself. I think that is a good place for it. salt lamp salt water tank  😄

Ya I have a feeling it will end up there on my nightstand because I already have 3 tanks downstairs. The only bad part is hauling water upstairs so thank goodness the tank is small!

My husband got me the lamp as a gift and he leaves it on every night as I get home from work at 4am. I used to stumble around in the dark. A $12 dollar lamp ended up being one of my favorite things.

Super glued a mesh back to the cartridge holder so I can drop media like carbon in it. A fancier person would have put a piece of acrylic though but it works!

I will use the cartridge in the front for the cycle and then cut off the carbon/mesh and stuff it with floss after.

That rock is fantastic! Are you keeping any of the crabs?

Those were the dead ones I found but I am sure there are live ones if there are dead ones. Not sure what I will do with them. Sump some probably. I think most look like red emeralds though.
