So with a little free time in between my sons naps, I took some photos of the Corals in the tank.

Hopefully I can document their growth over the next couple of months.

FTS 04/12/2020

i found that the macros need a weekly trimming, otherwise the front of the tank will be taken over. Which is great the growth is fast, free tang food. They go nuts whenever they find out there’s something different from the daily nori sheets.  I’ll post a few top downs and FTS.
nothing has changed other than I have to prune once a week. No dosing just a daily WC.

Good morning. Haven't seen you check in lately, I hope your just busy with work and that everyone is OK.

Yes work has been literally a cluster luck.
i have been making PPE non stop and have been seriously neglecting all my tanks. I have been trying to finish a 6k pcs order DA0E37CC-FDBC-4B2A-94E3-AB312D2EC615.thumb.jpeg.07fc6fd2aa8db51fbd0bdd1e3884274a.jpeg

which it feels like I have barely made a dent into

Quick update on the tank the growth on the macros have been to the point of over taking the tank. The mangroves have sprouted new sets of leaves which I seriously need to mist them more often.

but on Monday I trimmed the macros and fed my tangs

Well I just got news I will have to take down the contest tank and my other tanks out of my current living situation.

so I’m out 🥺unfortunately. If I had a place for them to go I would but it will be put into a storage unit..

was a nice ride especially with this pandemic going on it’s hard on everyone.

anyway I’ll be lurking but I need to focus more on my life

I’m sorry, this must be hard, but when the time is right in the future maybe you and your son can start a new tank to enjoy together. 💛

Well I was talking with baby mama and pleading with her if I can keep the tanks running because they are doing so well with the coral growth and everything pertaining to that so I might still be in it… So hopefully she will come to reason And keep it up and running for the sake of our son

Fingers crossed

Fingers and fins crossed. Hopefully at least one tank.

Me too

but both tanks are being drained Friday and moved Saturday. I’m keeping the 20g up and running though! So I’m not out completely yet.😅 it’s just being moved to a new location. So it will have a new aquascape and such. Same equipment everything.

this has been a nerve racking week for me

Glad you get to keep one running but as my Dad always told me - you gotta keep your priorities in order.

Hopefully a mangrove or two makes the cut!

So yesterday was a sad day

both tanks were taken down and prepped for the move today.

my son trying to get the reef equipment out of the storage box had me in tears😭

but in time he will have his tank back eventually. Now the tear down

so got what I needed into storage and moved my sons tank into the place I’m living. I’ll have to mess with the scape cause it doesn’t look right but it’s running.

Wow. Sorry to hear the sad news, but I'm glad you still have your tank running! Always love your updates about what's going on with it. Even after the move it all is looking good! (Especially that goni, man it's 🔥!) Hope all is well. 👍

Glad to see you were able to keep a tank up and running! Keeping tanks with my Dad is what got me started in the hobby and ignited my passion for aquatic biology, so it warms my heart to see you keep it going for the kid's sake.
