I have a large scrap bin full of mirror acrylic with minor cosmetic scratches. What’s wrong with hiding all the lights?

Ok so I finally got the plumbing finished and I’m praying it doesn’t tragically fail. And I have the partition welded in place
 

while that cured Friday/Saturday,  I finally have it looking they way I wanted it to be. Also back into its final resting place for another photo with it ready for water. 
And another condiment photo

so I was thinking for sand/substrate I’m going to go with koralLagoon by Brightwell Aquatics. I have been wanting to use some Fiji mud as benthic layer for bacteria. I haven’t decided on what kind of rock to use.

as for stocking list 😅

 

I have a small orange ocellaris clown fish that is currently getting picked on by my phantoms and ole lady’s “big mama”. He must’ve got kicked out cause the phantoms were originally getting bullied. Anyways my other stocking ideas is maybe some zoanthids and mangroves. Of course for other filtration is going to be some sort of other macro algae that will be incorporated too. And lastly will this tank have a protein skimmer? I have been throwing something at the wall and nothing has been sticking lol

Zoa's, cliffs and mangroves, sounds awesome, maybe toss a few euphyllia in for movement higher up towards the mangroves? There's too much coral out there lol, trying to figure out what's goin' in an empty box is impossible XD

thats true the possibilities are endless with an empty tank. I’ll have to see what there is out there for stocking maybe I can get a LFS to sponsor me 🤔

So this week I started on my aquascape.

the ole lady approved that I can spend 60$ for rock and sand. 

this is what I have going so far

 

i also made a new mount for an AIPrime

Also today there was a local frag swap that I attended and sold some stuff. But I I got home the real work started. And @inland_reef dropped by with some beer for a discounted torch rack. 
 

I have been putting off the tank transfer for some time. But today was the day!

i have a mixture of live and new dry rock hence the different colorations. I used about 5lbs of Fiji mud as a benthic area for bacteria plus I know the macros will love it too.

starting to add more koral lagoon by brightwell aquatics.

i found out the tank holds a little more than 15g I think 18ish. I used the dirty water from the 160’s WC. 
nice and murky also I found out the little pistol shrimp made the transfer too!

Even though I’m super late in getting water into it lol

 

After three hours of running, water is almost crystal clear

 

BTW @SeaFurn the two mangroves in the front were from you they’re literally growing like weeds it’s been 4months?

There’s 7 mangroves three on each side and one in back. I am still worried about the mangroves since they can be temperamental when rooted and replanted.

i wanted to try something different, all of my systems are LED. Had it sitting around so why not?
