I finally moved the stand from the shop and now it’s in my living room. I want to thank @inland_reef again for helping me move the beast into the house so onto the tank bit the footprint of it is 22”x22”x10.5”OD (21x21x10 ID) and I’m doing a rimless lagoon style so the cast acrylic is .500 give or take a couple thousands. So completely full water about to spill is Roughly 19.09 gallon im still drawing up the AIO insert depending on which style I should go with.. I was thinking of doing a dual drain and return.🤔 7 2 Quote Link to comment

I still haven’t decided if I’m in or not... 9 hours ago, This guy is extra salty said: Floating tank anyone? Hell ya! This is awesome! Will you need euro bracing on the tank at all? I think the dual drain and return idea is great. What kind/size of return pump are you thinking? 1 Quote Link to comment

Very unique Thanks 🙏 I have been waiting to build something out of the lexan. This contest gave me a reason. And my son I had to build something that will not tip over onto him. 12 hours ago, Tamberav said: I may need you to make me a cold water tank upgrade at some point 😛 sure thing just give me some dimensions and I’ll work with you on your build! 12 hours ago, Elizabeth94 said: I don’t even know what to say. You will enjoy it as I am. no the tank will not need eurobracing. The height is the deciding factor on that. My aquarium thickness calculator said I should be able to use 3/8 acrylic for a rimless tank given my dimensions but I decided to use 1/2 as a precaution. As for a return pump I was thinking a dc 1k gph might be enough im still collaborating with my flow sponsor 3 Quote Link to comment

This guy is extra salty
Alright for being sick these past few days with the stomach flu I have yet to actually get the AIO insert cut yet😆 so most of Saturday morning and a trip to Lowe’s I have moved the stand into its final resting place but first my son has to inspect his build ok now onto moving everything off the old wire stand i will be making a custom controller board for the two tanks electronics cause it’s looking like a rats nest here is a quick before picture and after I was able to fit everything into the shelf area and have extra room for a bit more. my son having to re-inspect the tank and stand in its final placement.. next week I will be making the AIO partition and make this build Rule compliant. 8 Quote Link to comment
This guy is extra salty
So I got the insert cut I’m waiting on my return nozzles and I’ll be onto plumbing 4 Quote Link to comment
SeaFurn
I think you should really consider adding an extra salty to your handle considering how intensive this build is! This guy is extra EXTRA salty. Kudos man. I wish I had your skills! 2 Quote Link to comment

This guy is extra salty
I’m still allowing the insert to cure before I weld it to the tank.. Enjoy the condiment photo. 7 Quote Link to comment
ef4life
Looks good, I like the split overflows on the outside and the dual returns in the middle 1 Quote Link to comment

I haven’t decided yet. I’m still drawing up the media rack, thinking of doing a three tiered one. Obviously everything is still in the air for that one 😂 3 Quote Link to comment
This guy is extra salty
So as I’m waiting for the return nozzles to arrive, I tapped some squares for the plumbing. Think it might look cool while peeking in the back chambers 4 1 Quote Link to comment
