Was that the one in Surprise? Or the one off the 51? We found a cool little two spot Blenny at the Surprise store about six weeks ago. The tank keeper was stoked for it for her SPS/Christmas Tree worm tank. I like that they keep their salinity closer to reef tanks too. It makes acclimating the fish much more smooth.

Yes surprise. I’ve had good luck with getting fish there. 51 is too far unless I’m on the north side

A couple of quick iPhone pics of a couple corals I picked up for the pico at the frag swap, I have quite a few more in my 40g from the swap too.

and some other shots - the euphyllia frag looking good, and the new pc rainbow, it’s hard to get a good picture of this frag since the front view is kind of shaded and doesn’t get the true color. The electric myagi is looking good and encrusting onto the rock now. And the new tail spot. I still haven’t come up with a name from him/her yet.

I had to try and get a better picture of the pc rainbow, such a great looking coral. Top down it really shows off it’s colors. Nice pink and green, hopefully some yellow comes out in it too.

Beautiful! Quick question - does your TSB nip at your SPS polyps? My bicolor blenny did in my nano, and I had to transfer him to a different tank because he was stressing out most of my SPS. 😞

Not yet he hasn’t, but I’ve only had him for a short time though. He doesn’t seem interested in any corals are all so far, he loves picking at the rocks for algae and eats mysis shrimp like he’s at an all you can eat buffet

Brs had an open box sale, and I grabbed a 12” reefbrite lumilite at a discount. This thing is awesome. With the ai prime on my normal settings the lumilite gives just an ever so slight hint of blue to the tank, but gives the coral colors a little more punch.

the main reason I bought it was I’m not really happy with the spread of light from the prime. I know I can raise it up to get better spread but then it looks really awkward on such a small tank, and it would blind me laying in bed next to the tank. The lumi lite should even out the spread in the corners that don’t get much light.

Here’s a photo with just the lumi lite and an orange gel filter on the camera.

Some videos of the blenny in action, for a tiny fish he has a ferocious appetite. Corals are all still doing well. I added a large chunk of my. Green/blue tip acro I accidentally broke off from my big tank while cleaning. I had to use some f aptasia to kill some gsp that was getting too big and I also had to kill a single aptasia. I had to move the frag of rastas to kill the aptasia, and since i moved it to the bottom temporarily they have been opening up nice and big and looking better than ever, so I think they are going to stay down there permanently.

new frag of the green blue acro I added.

I’m changing up my room and that means the pico is getting changed a little bit. I’m in the process of Setting my room for a new computer/ work desk. And that means the pico has to get moved.

Here’s the last picture of the way it has been, sitting on my nightstand. This nightstand will be going away.

It shouldn't be hard to move. I've moved my pico a couple of times, from one furniture piece to another. Just drain enough water to make it a manageable weight, then pick the whole thing up. As long as you don't shift it at weird angles or jerk it around rapidly, it shouldn't have any problems.

Move complete. I had to mount the ai prime onto the tank now, I’m not really a fan of that with how thin these little tanks are. I’ll be adding stuff to this desk as time goes on. But I am also planning big changes for the pico after the competition is over, That’s all I’m saying about that for now 😏

I dug out there old glass lid that came with my old 24g aquapod aio tank. I’m using that under the tank to protect the desktop from water. I plan to get an acrylic sheet for the entire desktop to protect it from the inevitable spills that will happen.

I also pulled out the gold leptoseris, it wasn’t looking good and it should recover in the big tank. I moved the orange plate coral where the leptoseris was, I don’t think it was liking the flow where it was at so hopefully it does good here.

I plan on hitting the lfs soon to get a few new things for this tank before the competition is over.

The eye doctor lightened my reef fund by $550 so far this month, so I’m low on aquarium stuff funds. but I did manage to stock up on frozen food, so I’m good for 3 months now.  I bought a little yellow clown goby and a sexy shrimp. The lfs only had 1 sexy left. I’m planning on 3-4 more. I the little goby was an active swimmer and he was eating in the store so I hope he fairs well for me.

How’s the eyeball doing?

YCG are so cute. Finding one that is eating all ready is a sweet score!

Eyeball is back to normal, the doctor gave me some crazy $200 eye drops to use and it helped it heal up quick. No vision damage. I did talk to the doctor about vision correction surgery and he said I’m a good candidate for it, especially since my vision hasn’t gotten worse over the past 3 years now. So I’ll probably get that done in a year or 2.

yes little yeller is so cute, I’m a tad worried since his fins are all torn up, but out of the 3 kona had he looked the best, and was swimming good and eating. He’s been eating in my tank too since I brought him home. The blenny doesn’t seem to mind having a little friend and I haven’t seen any aggression between them.
