Ratvan
Stuck the PAR38 Bulb on it for the time being, actually do really like how white it is (the lighting not the tank) 2 Quote Link to comment

Some algae bloom, spotted the LFS workers dumping Vibrant in the tanks....  Also spotted this guy, (not for this tank obviously) up for a rescue which is tempting. Damaged tail, damaged Pectoral, honestly looks like he's gone through a pump/got caught in an impeller   Quote Link to comment

Ratvan
So got the light on, sorted out basic lighting schedule, need to tidy cables and the surrounding area, sadly not able to install a shelf to hang the Kessil from as the wall has a massive amount of cables and pipes behind, knowing my luck i'd likely hit every single one so will leave it 1 Quote Link to comment
debbeach13
I almost got that light for my sons pico when his light died. He got some thing else before I did. I will be very interested in seeing how the corals respond. Always thought for the money and simplicity it looks like my kind of light. No programing required. 1 Quote Link to comment

Thanks, got a small amount of work to do with the tank and getting the light situated how i want, got a very basic set up on it with the spectral controller, trying to not spend on the tank today. I do want to make some additions and am going to have a look at a couple of pieces on my lunch break.  I know it will be too big but looking at a cheap encrusting monti and an Azure Damsel at the moment. Want to add Monday so I can monitor and not leave it over the weekend  Numbers Temp - 76f (woohoo) Salinity - 1.025 PH - 8 Alk - 8 NH3 - 0 No2 - 0 no3 - 1 PO4 - 0.25 Cal - 420 Mag - 1300  1 Quote Link to comment

Thanks, it is Tiny too about 1/2" so should last in here a while before going into the RSM when it gets too big. Hope it enjoys all the caves and ledges in the Pico rockwall. Either a small Damsel or a Perching Goby but cannot find anything small enough currently that is within price range. 1 Quote Link to comment

There's something about their movement and curious personality I really can't get over lol. 1 Quote Link to comment

Cute, that's what I was after originally, well one of the list anyway - Midnight Coral Goby - Court Jester Goby - Cana Trimma (Firecracker Goby) Sadly all very expensive for me at the moment, must be wrong season for them? 1 Quote Link to comment

These are from a LFS, Ocean Corals and Reptiles. Cant use my normal one at the moment due to state of tanks. Going to be checking out a couple of others this weekend with the Mrs and Mother in Law, see if there is anything all 3 of us like for the Clownfish Cube, plus the Mrs needs to fix that rock that I broke 😄 I had a meeting in Head Office in York so swung by on the way back to the office. Quote Link to comment

Hopefully will help me keep monti's pest free The darting, the hovering, but also the wide-eyed, open-mouthed fascination with absolutely-everything going on around them - the constant close-inspection of rocks and cleanup-crew members, the back and forth head-flicks as they scope-out the landscape and plan-out routes - what to do and where to go - the shifty/uncertain way they kind of eye you whenever you're close-enough to be seen without distortion, it's all pretty unique.  OH, and this may be unique to springers, but the way some of them with kind of mouth and chitter to themselves. I've never heard a sound, but it's not unreasonable to assume they're making one given the whole family's reputation. 2 Quote Link to comment

Ratvan
Oh yes its, Monday!  So I picked up my Little Royal Blue Damsel and Montipora "Frag", added to the tank after a 50% water change. The Damsel (Spinel) instantly hid in a couple of caves and crevices around the tank (so cute), the Montipora doesn't look too bad, a bit browned out so will be interesting to see what colour this comes out as, just waiting on the lights to come on now  Full Tank Shot - Natural (or ambient) lighting, just about see Spinel's nose poking out  Browned Out Encrusting Montipora Got some nice Polyp extension regardless  Spinel in cave/overhang 1  Spinel in Cave 2  Back to Cave 1, I like it here. I''ll show you my nose 2 Quote Link to comment
