This guy is extra salty
Count me in I’m rebuilding the 5g mangrove tank! even though the tank has been up and running since December and the only stuff in there is mangroves and a pistol shrimp but the sides are a bit bowed about .125 and in not comfortable with that number. So it’s time for an “upgrade” I’ll start a new thread unless I can keep my old contest thread. Since everything is going to be reused. the lady laid the rules of not spending money again what is the cut off for starting the tank? 3 1 1 Quote Link to comment
RedCrow
@Christopher Marks is there a minimum amount of chambers required on the filtration side of the wall if going DIY? Or can it just be one wide open space on the back side? I’m trying to decide if it would be economically responsible for me to join in 🤔💸 2 Quote Link to comment

Keep it simple, many AIO have maybe two or three partitions. If I remember correctly the biocube has three @banasophia please correct me if I’m wrong 4 Quote Link to comment
devaji108
and after my post a few weeks ago about the next comp...guess I got the wheels turning. SO question. I will be moving some time in the next cpl months ( 2-4) was hoping it would happen after. BUT if I can join in ,not that I need another tank to move but does moving a tank disqualify one? this is so tempting... 4 Quote Link to comment

During the last two contests, I would empty my tank every so often for a full water change. A tank move really isn't that much different. I can't see how that would disqualify you. 5 Quote Link to comment

Aqua Splendor
I'm storming some idea, is it possible to elevate the scape outside the aquarium? it could the have potential to contain more volume water... edit: and in counter part i would reduce the water level in the aquarium 1 Quote Link to comment

This guy is extra salty
To anyone wanting to chime in would anyone oppose dual return pumps if a wave maker isn’t used? 2 hours ago, mitten_reef said: anyone wanna sponsor me a tank? 🤣 Send me a PM 1 2 Quote Link to comment

I believe the restriction of one pump is limited to the display side. I don't believe there's a limit on return pumps in the back. There is also the possibility of dual returns (from a single pump) via a T-fitting. 3 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Liquid should be flowing into the tank and not out 😉 This is pretty clear on the AWC question. Liquid flowing in, not out. 2 Quote Link to comment
