Well, I'm on the opposite coast, hence the caribbean tank. This would definitely be a challenge for me. Like I have time for another tank. I'm an idiot for even considering it. But...

Actually I think they are less work and since everything in the cycle moves so slow. I did not realize he was back up and running, very cool though.

I don't know if he is or not. I just PM'd him

I guess I could just hook it up to a regular chiller.

Nope the chiller thing has already been discussed and vetoed I believe.

On the subject of cooling, I am inclined to disallow closed loop chillers for the sake of all-in-one simplicity, but I am open to arguments. I don’t want tanks to suffer in the summer over temperature control, we all live in different climates after all. Probe based chillers are an option, but I know they have their limits.

Thoughts?

I believe no further arguments were made for or against.

Chris, @Pjanssen is looking into a coldwater tank. Did you have a ruling on chillers?

IceProbes are allowed, plumbed chillers not so much.  For a small tank, IceProbes should be enough.

I dont think CM ever said no............I voted yes as I was thinking cold water.............and yes a ice probe should work for a small tank...........I was looking at a AIO cube and thing it totaled 8 gallons or so..........

good news!

I decided on my tank for the challenge. now to convince the GF we need a 3rd tank in the house until we move then I can put it in the basement fish room/lab.

I was going crazy back in forth trying to   decide...haha at least that is done, now to finalize the theme...

more to come don't want to count  my  fish eggs  before there hatched..
