I love your rock work, it’s just so unique

Thank you for the kind words! Half- arsed is the more fitting description though...

Not a lot happened this week. Big water change, filter clean and a scrape, but a pretty bad one as i seem to have lots of fluff on my glass...

on the plus side, starting to get little patches of coralline here and there.

best thing this week has been watching BA the humbug getting FAT and silencing the little HOB filter with some bits of sponge...

This crab came in the spare shell I got for Waldorf and Statler to fight over.

Really shy, he has lived his whole life in the overflow box on the frag flat at the LFS, in total darkness and with no food.

He only comes out after dark, stays in contact with his shell, nibbling algae and any granules that fall his way, then whizzes back in.

The shrimps scare him.

Proud parents/ tiny little fella.

So chuffed. Zoas have spawned and now I have one on the other piece of rock.

I’ve struggled to keep them alive before, never mind thrive or multiply.

mmmm, might be a little green majano nem. Don’t care though, he’s cute and green, and that’s all that matters.

I know, I’ve been a bit scarce lately, so here’s an update...

the tank is perfect.

everyone is happy, it gets fed about every 4 days on some crushed granules.

the asterinas have split a few times, and there are at least eight of them now.

the zoas (on the rock and on my frag rack) have stretched a little, as I had to reduce lighting to halt the spread of gha, but again, all happy.

i have started to scoop out the sand, to go bare bottom. I like the aesthetic. I’m getting a cup a week out so as not to shock the tank. All ok so far.

here’s a little clip of the shrimps, keep an eye for BA the Humbugs explosive appearance...

appearance...
