What is the trick with the duncans? I can't get mine to grow or even open up like that.

Personally in my experience, is lots of random flow and no direct flow. And i also direct feed them frozen foods lol. Also Brightwell coral aminos. 😄

I'll give aminos a read and maybe give it a go.

Well damn, I have random flow, no direct and they are fed.

It's the only thing not growing mind you my clowns love bugging it.

I stopped amino's, it never made a difference besides helping the dino's when I got them.

I have a bottle sitting in my fridge wasting away.

Well I'm stumped, tried all flows from practically none to rocking the frag and nada. It did great for about 6 months in the Pico started to pop out a new head and then stopped and closed... Maybe I'll try another frag

Same here.

Mine started with 1 head and after 3 yrs it's up to 5 but it's not fully open or growing.

I've attempted different locations over months.

I will have had it a year on April 28th. Popped out a baby head in June and froze. First coral so don't want to lose it but it also irritates the living 🤬 out of me

I noticed a big difference in growth when I got my nutrients up, stopped overly cleaning, and started phyto dosing.

Getting dino's sucked but it changed my methods and I saw a positive change

Hi and welcome!  I love your tank.  We have a lot in common.  I am now cycling my 10 gallon and I have read its going to be very difficult, with such small amount of water and skimmer.  Just cycling has been a challenge..haha.  What brand of light do you have?  I love it and how it is attached..most people hang them with wires, I dont like that look...love the brackets!  My counter is below so to tall for now, but maybe when I upgrade soon.

Hmm... that’s weird. What’s your nitrates? And is your tank stable at all times?

It depends... what kind of duncan coral do you have? I know different duncan do require certain care and parameters.

Ya my tank is stable. Everything else is growing.

I've fragged my birdsnest so many times I can't remember.

My nitrates usually are 2-5 and phos around 0.1, I run it high
