Toufiqul Islam
Dear all I am doing my thesis on this selected Marine species that haven't been identified. Literally I have no idea whether it is a Marine plant or invertebrate. There is no such related Marine Biologist or Marine Expert in our country whom I can seek assistance. So, I am desperately seeking your kind assistance to identify this species. 2 Quote Link to comment
Christopher Marks
@Toufiqul Islam where are you located? It looks like it could be a Tunicate, a marine invertebrate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tunicate 3 Quote Link to comment
Toufiqul Islam
@Christopher Marks Thanks for your feedback. I am from Bangladesh. Firstly I also assumed it as a Tunicate, but later on the look seems more like a red seaweed. My Prof. said it could be a Red seaweed from Galaxauraceae Family but still I am confused 🤪. t also have pink pigment inside and the vacuole is full of air. Please do suggest if you have any other assumptions. 1 Quote Link to comment

Although what you showed in your pics *might be Galaxaura, I don't think it is. Could be a different type of macro though. Not sure. 🤔 1 Quote Link to comment
