Isaacthedev
I just got this Squamosa clam last night. Here is how it looks I think it is dying or is dead... but my nasarrius snails haven't picked at it so maybe not dead yet Parameter: sg 1.0245 cal 435 alk 9.0 mg 1300 no nitrate or phosphate Quote Link to comment
Clown79
Was it like that when you got it? No nitrates or phos is not a good thing. Quote Link to comment
icatchsnook
Since it’s brand new to your system there are alot of unknown factors with shipping and acclimation. Generally I would not expect a clam to look like that from just one day in a new system if lighting or food source were an issue. Could something be way off with temperature (your other parameters seem fine)? How is it looking today? Is it reacting at all by closing its shell when you gently touch it or block the lights? What did you do for acclimation? Quote Link to comment
Tamberav
This clam appears to already be in poor health before you bought it. I don't see a nice white crisp growth ring. The move probably finished it off. Quote Link to comment
