But as soon as the lamp comes on, they do flee into their favorite hiding place, protected by four stones. After that they only show themselves carefully, mainly in the shade of other stones. It doesn't help that I still have to go in the tank almost every day because Benny the hermit crab runs over the rocks as a bulldozer and overthrows everything that comes his way and is not properly secured.😒 1 1 Quote Link to comment

DNR88 Posted March 5, 2020 Author Share Posted March 5, 2020 Planning for the coming week: - Remove current rocks (and water) from the tank; - Place 8 gallon Dennerle tank next to the current one (this should be interesting); - Put the Tanakai wrasses/Benny the hermit and 40% of the rocks (and water) in the 8 gallon tank; - The remaining 60% rocks goes to my lfs; - Top up the current tank with (salt) water up to 80% and let it run without lighting; - Place the new rocks in the existing tank (when arrived); - Turn on the lights and watch the tank with the new live rock for two weeks 😂; - After 3 till 4 weeks, transfer the wrasses and hermit in the 'new' tank! 😊 2 Quote Link to comment
