silicon_dt Posted October 5, 2004 Share Posted October 5, 2004 Since I could not find any southdown localy, I broke down and bought (Arag Alive oolite). The sand it awsome imo. I have no idea how well it's (alive) part worked because I used established rock and had no cycle. It is sugar size sand, so it is very small grains. I really like the sand.. Link to comment

kraphtymac Posted October 11, 2004 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Wanna know how to make live sand? Get you basic arag sand from your LFS, and then add a scoop of sand from a friends established tank. Will save you lots of money, and build nicely while your tank cycles. Link to comment
