spectra Posted October 17, 2019 Share Posted October 17, 2019 .It all started way back in the 90s ( yeah half of you wernt even born yet............) with a TruVu tank and VHO lighting then progressed to gymnasium MH lights.............then bailed for a while and came back with a Nuvo 20.........then upgraded to a Cadlights 42.........well not big enough so had a custom 100 gallon made............was great for about a year and then came this tank...........was purchased from my local dealer at a great price so could not pass it up...............brought it home and the first thing out of the wifes mouth was well thats stand sucks................ so it began.............. Love this way more than some factory stand..............and turned out great.............anyway am still sort of old school and wanted T5s so picked up a Geissman Stellar and added 4 RS90s to it..........wanted to go MH but could not find a Spectra.........but of course one came up after I set this up Yes pic stinks but you get the point.............. Running an Apex for dosing and to help control a few thing............. Skimmer was used but works great.............not your normal nano skimmer but works great so far.................would not fit in a 5 gallon bucket................ So tank has been going for almost 2 months maybe more............some rock almost a year old and the rest new when the tank was started............so far everyone is doing great and fingers crossed........... Stocking as for fish well..............get ready............. Wrasses........Melanurus, Blue Star Leopard. Radiant and a Black Leopard Tangs.........Achilles, Yellow and Yellow Eye Kole 3 female and 1 make Lyretails Pygmy Hawkfish Spotted Mandarin Diamond Goby Randalls Goby and shrimp Foxface Most of the fish have been with me for a while and went from tank to tank.............well here are a few pics of what it is today................maybe someday I will work on my picture skills Hopefully this is it but doubt it..................... 7 2 Quote Link to comment

Figured with all the ich magnets in the tank I better get something soon......... its just a matter of time.,........ also picked up a few new fish and yes we have issues already its a tang fight.................... Just need it to grow corals now.................not much more room for fish as it is now I feed a cube of brine.....cube of mysis.....and a chunk of LRS...... added some nori today but no one seems interested......... 4 Quote Link to comment

Yes but still need a few more pieces on the right side.................its a little bare compared to the left...........all rock on the right side is new. Red Tailed Tamarin Wrasse.................sweet fish and have wanted one for a while...........am almost full for fish anyway a few pics............. and the dendro...........that coral was one head in my Nuvo 20...............been with me from the start when I got back in the game................ 7 Quote Link to comment

Not sure.......but I think you need a saw......., I got mine from a colony that was the size of a basketball...........came out of a 300 gallon tank...........I sold it off when it was softball size as I did not have room...........well now have plenty of room and loved that thing.........I like movement and well it moved in the flow.......... 1 Quote Link to comment
