Thetravelguy
It could be rated for 10000000kg and I’d still worry. Mostly id be afraid of my dog knocking it off the shelf 😅. but the added floating Bar will be amazing! I’ve always wanted one in front of a window with a view. and gorgeous view again. I love Vancouver but yes if you don’t like the mist and rain it may not be your favorite (I do, I lived in southeast Alaska and love the rain). Quote Link to comment

Haha, the weight of the tank is about 200lb, I don’t think your dog will knock it down or perhaps you have have a Alaskan Malamute dog? Alaska is nice, been there couple of times with my folks on a cruise lol. I applied once for a job at red dog mine in Alaska, failed the interview lol... 1 Quote Link to comment
Reefjunkye
All right, I am removing the rotten stuff and adding MB7 from brightwell. Finger crossed, hopefully this will jumpstart a bit. Rotten shrimp Rotten clamp MB7 1 Quote Link to comment
Reefkid88
I'd go the route you are going and don't judt force it,I feel like that is where a lot of people cause a tank to have a huge imbalance and for things to go south. I think the MB7 will help a lot. 2 Quote Link to comment
Reefjunkye
thanks, yeah I wont rush it. hoping that it will be ready by christmas Quote Link to comment
Reefkid88
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be ready by then. Especially with smaller tanks like we keep, they usually don't reach a mature stability level until about 8 months to a year anyways depending on how stable you can keep things and the quality of live rock or bacterial populations. 1 Quote Link to comment
Reefjunkye
So I got some free chaeto(for marine fauna with pods) and a churro looking thingy from my friends reef tank hopefully this will seed my tank Ohh I managed to relocate the mame skimmer back to chamber 2 by converting the mounting bracket with some magnets 5 Quote Link to comment
Reefkid88
The churro thing (which had me dying btw lol) is for biological filtration and population. Awesome little invention. That is some good looking cheato though. 1 Quote Link to comment

Reefkid88
It'll happen, just give it some time. It may come at last minute. I gave up pretty much on testing during a cycle. Wait a month,do a wc and then test lol. 1 Quote Link to comment
Reefjunkye
Really!? Lol then why did I buy the testing kit for ? Lol $60 bucks for 3 test kit... 1 Quote Link to comment
Reefkid88
Don't get me wrong, you definitely need them. But while the cycle is happening I think people worry so much about this not happening or this happening they freak out. Just let it cycle and settle in and then after 3 weeks to a month,do a water change say 30-50% then test. That is just me though. 2 Quote Link to comment

Reefjunkye
All right,Transferred a truchus snail from biocube. Fingers crossed 2 Quote Link to comment
Wonderboy
It's usually best to wait for nitrite to hit 0 but the snail will probably be fine, I often use brown algae in small sysetems as the cue, too. Quote Link to comment
Reefjunkye
Thanks for the input Quote Link to comment
Reefjunkye
Day#14 NH3=0.5 NO2=1 NO3=100!!(maxed) should I change water? Got a bottle of the tiger pods as recommended by my LFS, now, do I start adding the pods now or after my tank is fully cycle? I couldn’t resist added like 2 caps into the chaeto chamber.. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Wonderboy
An aprx 80% water change wouldn't be a bad idea - you could probably add the pods after the WC. Quote Link to comment
Reefjunkye
Thanks @Wonderboy Quote Link to comment
