Took the kids to The Aquarium of the Pacific today.  Sat in front of this tank for a long time thinking about how I’d aquascape it. So much potential!

NUTRIENT EXPORT UPDATE:  Very happy to report that it appears the addition of chaeto is helping bring down P04.  For a long time and up until about a month ago P04 would range between 0.10 - 0.12 and it felt like I had to starve the tank to have any chance of getting it down to 0.08.  Cyano was a constant battle and I only had the 2 clowns.  A month ago I added 2 new fish + 2 shrimp and dropped some chaeto in one of the back sump chambers (thanks @Matteo for the motivation!).  Now a month later, P04's at 0.06, I'm feeding more (including addition of Phyto), cyano is unnoticeable, the chaeto's growing, and I'm pulling out A LOT of gnarly new algae out of that back chamber....

Miraculously, unattended tank survived last weekend’s 100 degree heat wave while I was out backcountry. Literally 100 degree ambient temp with no chiller / no AC - setup 3 vornado fans around the tank & left it in the hands of the coral gods to take mercy on this little eco system.  Went through 2 gallons of ATO in 1 day, a new record for survival.

It is, and I’d be very curious to see what it’s got growing in your sump!

Really glad to hear you didn't end up losing power! It's incredible that everything survived, but there you have it I guess - the tank clearly looks as amazing as ever. 👌

Every time I look in this thread I am seized by an overwhelming desire to buy a Nuvo 40... but I've done a pretty good job of fighting off that impulse for now. 😅

thanks!  It's pretty easy with the Stop Motion iPhone app.  Just snap a quick pic in app every 1-3 days as part of your routine for at least a month & then you can playback whenever you want as a gif or vid.  It even stores all the individual pics that you can export.  These were all started 2 months ago, and I'll probably just keep them going for a while longer.  Super fun for tracking the faster growing sps, but also...

super slow growing ecrusters...

Nice tall scape, good variety in color and great photography!

You stick with iPhone for all coral shots? Use gels or coral polyps lens?

Thanks so much @Spencer7! Most pics are taken with a Sony full frame camera filterless, and a couple recent pics (the super saturated unreal looking ones) with an iPhone paired those new orange coral glasses pressed up against the lens as a filter.
