Clown79
It's such a cute tank. An rfa tank would be cool. 1 Quote Link to comment

Spencer88
So my ammonia has been 1.00 for 5 days now and has not changed. is this normal with cycling? 1 Quote Link to comment
Wonderboy
Hmmm, pretty strange - I suppose every cycle is different and can often take more time to do certain things than others - you could try a little water change and raise the temps a little to slightly encourage the system's metabolism. 1 Quote Link to comment
Spencer88
Day 14 Well yesterday i added a little bit of bio spira to the tank to see if it would help any. Tested the tank today and major improvements. 3 Quote Link to comment

The temp has been between 78.5-79.5. But i guess i could raise it a bit more. Thanks for the input 1 Quote Link to comment

Spencer88
So today i started to notice diatoms and a smudge of gree. Algae on the rocks. Will this effect the fish I just added? Quote Link to comment
Xdub4314
Algae and diatoms do not affect fish and may actually benefit them as a good source but also the algae takes up the nutrients that are toxic to your fish. Algae is only bad because most people think it’s unsightly and it can irritate corals 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Will this effect the fish I just added? Natural process of a maturing tank. Expect to see many algae blooms to come. On the other hand, I love algae! I consider it free food for my snails and Blenny. I'd be more scared of not having any algae and getting Dino's. I noticed in my tank, whenever I get an algae bloom, I soon after get this beautiful Coralline algae spotting. My rocks look like Christmas lights with all these spots of Red, Purple, Pink, and Green. Quote Link to comment
Kput
How's this tank going? I just picked up the same tank used a week ago with some rock! Upgraded the pump, added a powerhead, and am starting a refugium in one of the back compartments. 1 Quote Link to comment
