Help! I think my Clownfish is sick.

I need help identifying if my clownfish has an illness or if it’s a genetic defect. He is eating and swimming just fine, does not look to be in pain.

Then why do you think something is wrong with him?

It doesn't look sick...it looks like the gill area is damaged...like something took a chunk out of it's gill plate.  Once something like that happens, there is not much you can do about it.  It is what it is.  As long as it's still swimming and eating fine then I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I am new to the hobby and I would like to identify any sickness (if there is any) to treat before it’s too late.
