CaptainIchigo79
I've been doing aquariums for around 2-3 years now, but they've all been freshwater and some were planted. I have a leftover 10 gallon tank and fluval C2 filter, and I'd like to setup a nano tank, just because I no longer have space for a larger reef (Seriously, I'd love to have a 100 gallon reef). How should I setup this filter for such a small tank? Do I need a circulating flow pump? Quote Link to comment
Ratvan
The filter they're 120gph? I would still look at a wavemaker for more flow. The HOB will "polish" the water while the powerhead/wavemaker suspends the particles in the water so the HOB can filter them out. I'd run just filter floss. Remove all other media and sponge. Maybe run carbon if needed. Have a look at what people have done with the Tidal 55. Similar unit and mods Quote Link to comment
CaptainIchigo79
Thanks for that, I'll get a small circulation pump. What wattage would you recommend? As for the filter, I was sort of hoping to turn it in a mini refugium. Quote Link to comment
