Surya
Woke up today morning to sight of my Coral Banded Shrimp eating my Firefish. I knew it was risky to house fish with CBS but some people had luck so tried this combo. Firefish always avoided the shrimp from nearing him and it had its own hiding spot. Not sure what happened in the night but the Firefish was already half eaten when I saw him today morning 😖 Loved both. Lost Firefish and CBS has to be donated now. 1 Quote Link to comment
Humblefish
It's possible the Firefish was already dead when the shrimp found him. 2 Quote Link to comment

Possible but the Firefish was a well settled fish in my tank. Ate well as usual before I went to bed last night. So I dont think it as the reason. Also, I always see in the night the shrimp waiting near the Firefish's hide out. So somehow it caught him last night I guess. Quote Link to comment
j.falk
BCS are always troublemakers in my experience...whether it be causing destruction to other livestock or eating something you don't want them to eat. Quote Link to comment
sadie
that's terrible! Sorry about your fish, and that you have to rehome your shrimp. 🙁 Quote Link to comment
