PaigeTX
Well the conch is definitely dead. Darn. In a fun development, my fire shrimp (Giorgio) eats food from my tongs! I love this guy. I bet he would take it from my hands, I’ll try that the next feeding time. 3 Quote Link to comment

My cleaner shrimp sometimes eats from my hand and then cleans my fingers. My fighting conch has convinced me he's dead more times than I can count. He'll just sit in the same spot for a week or two, and then all of a sudden he starts moving around again. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

When they figure out food is around they come around really quickly. I opted to replace the conch with a few Nassarius snails and omg can these things move 1 Quote Link to comment
PaigeTX
I’m off this week so I’ve been spending a lot of time with the tank doing photoshoots (working on the horrific photo quality) 😃 I was able to head over to the big LFS today and picked up a few more snails and a Pom Pom Crab! This thing looks like a Pokémon. I hope it thrives, it hasn’t found a hideout quite yet but has only been in the tank for a hour or so. I also added some live Tigger Pods and Fred has been out and about chasing them down. 4 Quote Link to comment
teenyreef
I love pom pom crabs. I have one in the 10g tank but he comes out so rarely that I can never get a picture. Quote Link to comment
PaigeTX
Today I picked up my Ocellaris Clownfish duo! They are juveniles right now. They are wonderfully active! They’re getting along well at the moment and getting along with Fred the Blenny. They have also been very busy picking pods off of the glass. 2 Quote Link to comment
PaigeTX
Yesterday I received my first online coral order from Live Aquaria. The 2 corals from ORA are completely bleached out - a pulsing xenia and periwinkle monti cap. A few questions - should I contact Live Aquaria? Has anyone experienced this/ how long does it take for them to bounce back? The monti cap is white and the Xenia is wilted and silvery. No improvement after 24hrs 1 Quote Link to comment
A.m.P
If they look to be in poor shape it's best to give the seller a heads up asap. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Thanks, I went ahead and emailed them. I’ve been hoping they would turn around and color up but no luck so far! Quote Link to comment
PaigeTX
Photographing my tank is proving to be very difficult! But Crabitha found a nice shady spot to hang out this evening. Unfortunately she seems to have lost her anemone. She only had one when I got her. 1 Quote Link to comment
PaigeTX
Things are going well with the tank, I’ve been enjoying it so much. I’ve also spent entirely too much money on corals over the past couple of weeks but it’s really coming together. I have a toadstool and a hammer that should be good options to host the clowns but right now they are still loving their powerhead. Previously I had the tank on top of an ikea cubby but it looked so cluttered so I bought a pretty cabinet with storage! Moving the tank was terrifying even with draining it down to a few inches of water. I can’t imagine what moving something longer is like. I also shattered my heater on the floor untangling cables. Thankfully I had a backup! current state of the tank and view from the couch: 3 Quote Link to comment
PaigeTX
Yesterday I picked up some acans, another duncan, and a blue hammer. Things are still opening up. The acans are 2-2.5in and they were $35! Unbelievable compared to my LFS. A little photo dump 2 Quote Link to comment

Thank you! I’ve been loving not having to look at the clutter. These clowns are goofy! I want them to sleep on something squishy 😆 2 Quote Link to comment
