falcooo
I am struggling to find any articles online on this, but am wondering if anyone can add their opinion and input from their own experiences. Which types of corals tend to consume more alkalinity & calcium than others? We all know stony corals (LPS, SPS) consume more than softies, but of those stony corals do any blatantly consume more than others? I realize this is a tough question to answer definitively, as we all have different experiences and some corals just thrive in certain setups where others do not, but i’m just looking for general opinions/experiences/input. Thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
uwdanno
I would think about it more along the lines of which calcifying corals are the fastest growing. Certain LPS like favias and chalices calcify pretty quickly relative to other LPS. For SPS, Setosas, Birdsnests etc tend to grow quicker than Acros Quote Link to comment
