What is this

So I just got this hermit crab and it has this tunnel  on it shell that has thing living in it..

any idea what it is?? Thanks

It's most likely a tube worm or feather duster, common reef hitchhikers. They're beneficial filter feeders, a good sign of a healthy reef.

Like Christopher said, most like a tube worm. Usually good but some can sting over coral. I'd try to take it off the shell if you notice it stinging or upsetting coral while the crab moves around.
